An Aware, Informed, and Critical community is vital for the success of a game.~ John "Totalbiscuit" Bain
I don't think you've thought this through, even though you went into more detail to essentially explain the same thing I said. Most people will know Viera is from Ivalice, especially in one of the main series such as 12.Sorry but it is your logic that is flawed Mr Vulcan, Viera are not "from FF12" they are from Ivalice which is the world of FF Tactics games, Vagrant Story and FFXII. Also the re-use of the Crystal tower and Gold Saucer and Magitek armour are in no way comparable to that of a playable race. Even the races of Eorzea though inspired by those of Vannadiel are not the same and not named the same. So yes Viera belong in Ivalice and not in Eorzea. A re-designed rabbit-girl race, now thats another matter.
However, I see a Vana'diel Elvaan in Eorzea..

If you think one Elvaan npc reappearing as an Elezen in another FF title justifies Viera being a new playable race then thats fine. It is however not logical. Cid is also in both games as a "human", so what, its not relevant.

Even though I want bunny boys (Viera) running around, I'd rather not have an Ivalice species, I dunno SE could make a really cool new race for us to play :3 butttt I sorta doubt we'll see one, unless it's an expansion, and this game you're not gonna want to remake a character just to change races..
It is an identical copy, with nearly the same fashion. Like I've said you haven't thought this through.
What staples can they use from ff12 universe besides the armor the Judges use? Sure they can use the race within that universe, why not? They're using staples from other games. I don't see any valid reasons not to use it.
You really are twp aren't you.It is an identical copy, with nearly the same fashion. Like I've said you haven't thought this through.

Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes! Okay, it's true, I absolutely love Final Fantasy IX, but with that biasnotput aside, I think Freya's race would be perfect! They could be introduced in Ul'dah as well, with a giant sandstorm surrounding their home (okay totally ripping FFIX off there) . . . and we'd call the expansion pack: "Sandstorms of Burmecia" or something like that...now doesn't that sound cool? And yes, I realize that it was Cleyra, the defecting Burmecian populace's city, that was protected by a sandstorm. I was trying to be inclusive (or something).
Well, ignoring my obvious fanboy squeals, I do honestly think Burmecian to be a great idea.
AHA!
I knew it, the Returners FFRPG was involved in some manner. I sincerely think they were roughly the first ones to actually decide to use the word Varg instead of simply werewolf for them.
Ahem, anyway, short interlude over, please continue with your thread.
really like the old concept for gulka now why didn't we get that instead of RoagI remember I voted for having Vieira but actually they wouldn't really fit in FFXIV.
We already have cat-girls and soon boys, it would be redundant to have rabbit humans now.
I'd love to have a beast-like race tho like FFXI Galka early concepts:

The FFXII Bangaas would be even more awesome
