Sorry I just noticed that without FFXIV (In an active progression/people still largely actively playing it fashion) that the forums are out of control.


From threads about F2P

to threads about jumping on tents that don't break

to threads about Red Mage on Time Mage violence.

to threads about wanting Microtranstions.


I do love how many people think the Developers (Not the Community Reps) will see these posts and change the game.

I also love the overall argumentative nature of people :3

But mostly I love all the hate. . .

We've turned into squabbling loonies.


EDIT: Also Gay marriage threads and New Race speculation threads.

EDIT2: And the 'all these threads are dumb' threads.

EDIT3: and all the whining alpha invite threads.

Yep, forums are wonky. Lots of overexcited fanboys going out of their minds with excitement and anticipation. But hey, it's all for a good cause.

Well, except for the F2P threads. You know... what with the current transitions to F2P being nothing but an adaptation to failed WoW clone launches and crappy korean games, not an innovation whatsoever but an end result, a last result, and a downgrade. But this isn't about that...

All in all, I'm glad the forums are going in an downhill spiral. What with expectations being out of fucking control. It'll calm down eventually a few months after the expansion launches, after the surge of overexpectant whiny neckbeards with no knowledge of the video game design process and its limitations post rage threads about how the game isn't a perfect, flawless masterpiece that will bring down the second coming of Christ and bring us all into heaven where we will be subjected to orgies, all the Code Red in the universe and free subscriptions to Final Fantasy XI forever.
