I don't agree with it being disabled in PVP. If classes are still restricted to their armor types, then what is the harm? It's not like a mage can trick you into thinking they have heavy armor on.

True, but I think people would still be able to see what you are wearing, and there'd be a difference between "Oh we got DRG AF on, i got this" vs "Shit, he has Full Darklight"
As opposed to the "Oh, just a rainmaker" yet it's triple melded? It's the same argument people had for the PvE side of things. People are going to check their opponent regardless of what they are wearing.


I'd like them to turn that off as well rather see people get there ass handing to them instead of oh we can take he or she doesn't have triple meld gear looking for easy fights.



* The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.
