So, going on your previous post, which basically spilled the beans on your real attitude about F2P and your true motivations for wanting it implemented... I'll just go with the very safe bet that all the limitations and additional costs you listed there are things that are unimportant to you and would never phase you in the least. You'd either never feel limited by them yourself, or you'd never feel compelled to spend money on them. I mean, in keeping with your "others should spend their money so I can play for free twice a month" attitude toward it and all.

You do realize that you've shown your hand, and now anything you post from this point forward is going to be colored entirely by what you've revealed about yourself.

By all means, continue.. it's fun to see someone being so open in sharing the true thoughts/feelings of a F2P advocate. Just understand that you're not fooling anyone at this point, either.

Whether you realize it or not, you have just, in your post, basically revealed the real reason many people want MMOs to be F2P.

Others will usually try to find some other reasons to attach to it, removing their own personal interests from it as much as possible so as to not appear self-serving in their logic.

You, however, have just come out and served up the self-serving, ego-centric mindset of many F2P advocates beautifully.

But, if you haven't noticed, most people in this thread (and in others) are more than happy to continue support SE in creating and maintaining a MMORPG with an on-going sub fee from their own pockets. Those are the true fans and supporters of FFXIV and SE. Free-loaders with attitudes like your own would only bring down the quality of the game, not improve it.

I am the type of person who wants to buy a game once not pay any fees for it after paying for around 10 years of FFXI I am pretty much never want to play a fee based game again. Times and attitudes change. Why do you think there is so many F2P mmos now? A lot of people just had enough with the sub model.

While I did pay the monthly fee for FFXI and FFXIV at the same time I felt like I should of been getting more for my money.

Yes I already said that's why I love the F2P model some people can pay monthly and I can still play get my fill and not spend any money. There is nothing wrong with the F2P model. I won't get the same experience as someone else but the enjoyment I do get out of it is good enough for me. But in actuality I already spend $75 buying the collectors edition of the game.

This forum is pretty biased against F2P because you had to of payed to post here. But go ask anyone on other gaming sties if they would rather have a F2P or a sub mmo you find the answer more often then not is F2P. Since I already spent a couple hundred on sub fees I can post my opinions on here.

You are the type of person who wants others to pay their money so you don't have to. You've already told us that. Don't try to rephrase or back-pedal on it now.

There are tons of games you can pay for once and then never have to pay for again - they're called single player games and there are, literally, thousands of them to choose from. You don't even have to impose a revenue model on others that practically no one else here wants just so "you can play for free". You just buy the games and play them. Some of them even have multiplayer.

People have noted and discussed why there are many F2P MMOs now. You're asking a pointless question.

And that's your own personal and completely subjective judgment. Every single person buying a game or paying a subscription makes that same exact judgment call. Just so happens that the vast majority around here clearly feel XIV is well worth the sub fee and you are in a pitifully small minority.

No I haven't free loaded anything I have bought the $75 collectors edition, and paid over a few hundred on sub fees, as well as 10 years of FFXI.

I payed for 10 years of FFXI and 8 years of WoW so far together o.O and I'm still not going I've been able to afford 2 games no prob... 30 bucks a month is not really a dent and I'm a 21 year old college student... so I don't drink and party every other night I rather game instead oh well o.O I don't mind paying subs because I know the company that requests it will be able to provide non shitty content for the money... I believe in S-E and I know ARR will do good o.o/

I too have paid for WoW my subscription is still current in that game, but they actually have a lot of content to do so its worth it.
