none of those game are really free to "play" the have level limits content limits... I don't want ffxiv being junked up by a bunch of players who download the game cause its free to play and f around for a lil bit and then uninstall.I am asking you SE to consider a free to play option in addition to subscription model. In today's PC market the majority of MMOs and other action RPG type games are free to play. Take a look at Guild Wars 2, Star Wars the Old Republic, Aion, Everquest 2, Lotro, Diablo 3, League Of Legends, Phantasy Star Online 2, DC Univerise online, the list goes on.
The market today really won't support a paid only MMO. With so many free to play MMOs out there some where devs spent millions on like Star Wars. Why would someone pick up FFXIV when they have to buy it and pay a sub fee?
With free to play + micro transaction model some people will be inclined to buy funny hats, unique looking armor, weapons, mounts, exp boosts they will actually end up spending more money then like 10 subscribers.
A much larger playerbase will be attracted due to not having such a high barrier to entry which would be the monthly fee which in today's economy many people would not even consider paying.
A majority of games who may be Final Fantasy fans would skip FFXIV:ARR just because there is a monthly fee tided to it. However if they feel like they are not being forced to pay monthly and only buy stuff on the game store if they feel like it you can actually get more people to try the game and buy stuff. If you check out comments on gaming sites like Gamestop, IGN, Kotaku the biggest complaint you see about FFXIV when it comes up is that there is a monthly fee.
I keep a lot of F2P games installed on my hard drive and play them every so often. Same can't be said for MMOs that require a fee.
I would consider at least taking a look into the free to play model and what it can do for you.
Basing a pro-f2p argument on games that moved boxes but died after a couple months = lulzylulz

I just happen to think F2P is a better model because I won't have to pay and other people will pay if they want more out of the game. There just wasn't even enough people to do anything in FFXIV. I think F2P is a good idea and gives people options. You don't have to spend a single cent in the cash shop if you don't want to.First of all, you are doing a super personal discussion, and no talking about what is good and what is not about F2P. You're free to say "I like it, I don't like it", but it's not about who likes what, but if it could be good or bad for the game.
When I got my Relic I was extremely happy (and tired :P), because it requested me hard work, but at the same time it gave me feelings, satisfaction. Buying something in a store is like going to the supermarket... Exciting!
People don't seem to understand buying stuff is the short cut, usually F2P games offer ways to earn the same things in the game. You can still earn the items or whatever you want. Personally I wouldn't buy anything because I don't want to spend money, but theres lots of people out there that would buy the items.

If we have luck we get some weeks or 1 month f2p (open beta)
Give us reasons why F2P is a better model? I'll wait to see your post to my respond.I just happen to think F2P is a better model because I won't have to pay and other people will pay if they want more out of the game. (Hint -Use logic in terms of business and player's point of view)
I'll be waiting for your reasons so I or others can provide their counter argument/reasons.

It's too late for them to consider an F2P model. If you know anything about game design you would realize that games that use the F2P model ABSOLUTELY NEED to have that model taken into consideration when designing the game.
Now arguably they could make it free up to lvl 20 like other MMO's but I'm willing to bet that they're going to wait until FFXIV gets established before they do that. Meaning it won't happen until years after ARR is released. Juggernauts like WoW might be able to pull it off, but having ARR go F2P so early would make it look like SE is desperate, and that they have no faith in their game.
Bottom line, it's not going to happen no matter how much you ask, and even if it does happen it won't be for several years.
