I guess we'll see. Ul'dah was a bit quiet, but we had 7 people from our LS online tonight and just went to fight different NMs and high level monsters with jobs we don't normally play. It was kind of fun. ^^

I also want to do some of the side quests and re-watch various cut scenes. I guess it really depends on who you ask, but I still have quite a few things to keep my occupied so I'll stick around as long as possible.

I personally won't be logging back in. I like to think of 1.0's finale as being its end, and to log back into that same world I saw destroyed in such spectacular fashion just seems wrong to me, almost like cheating.

In addition to nothing being saved, I see no point. The only possible points I could think of would be:
1) To watch the cutscenes, which I already did since we knew when the game was going to end. Heck, I even recorded them.
2) To chat with people. Well, Guildwork does that for me, and to an even better extent anyway.

I definitely also expect a server shutdown sometime soon for that "less than 30% figure," especially if some just log in for those cutscenes, finish watching them, realize how dead the rest of the game is at this point, and then log out again.

Basically the people who voted for it to come back up have to log in each and every day, if it falls below the amount of people who wanted it up..clearly they didn't want it up as much as they thought.

What I mean is, what number of people are they looking to be logged in to qualify as the 30%? 100, 200, 500? It probably doesn't help that they haven't changed the main page or the launcher, both of which still stay "World Servers Offline". :/

I'm pretty sure Yoshida wouldn't do this if it was going to take anything away from working on 2.0. Personally I might bump the graphics way up and log in to take some screenshots but that's about it.

Since probably 100% of players will alter their character's look at least somewhat in 2.0 it would be cool to see before and after pics.

even though 1.0 engine was shit i still enjoyed the general feel of the game so i'll login to enjoy the last of the old engine.
