I remember when Abyssea first came out in FFXI, I decided to explore Abyssea - Konstat (sp?) running around /Rikku on "Oh a treasure chest... I wonder what's inside" BAM, THWAK, OOFF, face, meet dirt... dirt meet face, nice to meet you!!

I loved coming in contact with them in XI as a thief. It was a love hate kind of relationship.

Was a hate hate with me, them the boxes when i was in Pso'Xja LOVED to murder me on the spot!!! One time they had my ass hostage for 6 weeks.

My first encounter with one scared me. I was in Castle Oz trying to get my AF piece. I was camping against an RMT who went for the ring. Big scary beastmen and a race against evil only to find a box that ate my face. It was definitely a unique experience that I wouldn't mind staring at again.

I said it was a hate/hate... never said i would complain if i was in those shoes again... I was a masochistic Elvaan i burned 3000 beastman seals to get murdered at a 95% rate doing the 3mimic BCNM solo..

As a SMN in XI and having that SMN habit of keeping Carbuncle out constantly as my personal meatshi-- I mean, bodyguard, I really enjoyed mimics... only because I was able to escape ^^!
