sadly at the end of the day you'll still persist in your deluded alternate reality where you casually dismiss the opinions of others (hurrdurr don't care derrrr) while exhibiting the patently obvious narcissism of someone who feels their own opinion, while part of an obvious gross minority, somehow overrules the opinions of the majority at large. surely wow can be no better than those other MMOs in spite of overwhelming statistical, circumstantial, and anecdotal/testimonial evidence, right?

Maplestory and Cityville basically means they're better than WoW if we're going by numbers rather than enjoyment level.

based on numbers alone, yes, they would be superior.

they're not quite the same, though. you're basically comparing suntan lotion to sunscreen. you put them both on your skin and they both have "sun" in the title, but you use them quite differently. i listed the MMOs i did for a reason- they're directly comparable to WoW and yet fail to even begin to rival it. WoW isn't trying to be or beat maplestory, maplestory isn't trying to be or beat WoW.

furthermore, maplestory is the prime example people lean on when trying to argue that f2p is the future, and yet no amount of effort to capitalize on this market by any other developer seems to be paying the same dividends. instead f2p has largely become a hallmark of failing, dying games.

in the end comparing the two on any level is fairly ridiculous, as is comparing maplestory to any f2p games like gw2. you can play maplestory from your browser and phone. that's an entirely different different kind of game for an entirely different market.

inactive character profile, yet you use the words "playING since" in an active tense, not a past tense (ie: "played from")- which seems to be an attempt to shift perception by implying you're current enough with the game and to have a credible opinion of it.

But I may start up my Wow account again. Can't only play one MMO.

I've been jumping around games like mad. I want to play FFXIV so bad that games like RIFT and WoW don't seem fun at all. I wish I could go back to FFXI but my account was hacked (Got a lovely piece of mail from Square-Enix about their server breech) years ago. I never logged on since and the server Ramuh merged with some other server anyway... So i highly doubt i could get my character back. Zalim will live in my memories.

Yeah playing Guild Wars 2....but i'm already way board with it. There is a ton you can do in that game but i cant stand looking at the annoying cartoony animations and graphics....FFXIV ARR can not come any faster!
