Uhh... I hope you're not implying that GW2 ripped off Deathwing. The Elder dragons have been a part of the Guild Wars lore since 2007. Wow: Cataclysm came out in 2010.

So unless you're implying Warcraft II created huge dragons... I'm not really getting what you mean.

I am implying because GW2 came out after cata... and if you look at box art of GW2 there is a dragon on it that looks remarkably like deathwing just purple inside not red...

What I am saying is when I opened up the cover of GW2 and saw the purpley dragon I immediately saw Deathwing, They were both seeming of full elemental interiors, held together by a metal shell wrapped around them. Just one was purple and one was red.

The Shatterer (purple dragon) had been announced years and years ago. The first trailer depicting him (http://youtu.be/35BPhT-KI1E?t=5m11s) predates Cataclysm by several months. There was concept art of him available at least a year prior to that.

And the concept art released on the Shatterer, pre-dates that by several months, maybe even 2008.

And when it comes down to it, the in game models look completely different anyway. The concept art isn't even that similar, apart from the chest cavity.

This is the problem with gaming culture today, people look for things that could possibly be similar and then scream that everything is a clone.

I can see why you'd draw similarities, it's the same reason that people on the WoW forums are calling XIV 2.0 a rip off.

I agree completely. In all honesty I hate it too, if someone doesn't there is something wrong with them, lol. I was just stating it as when I first picked GW2 up went D:. but ya enough of the stupid comparisions I always think that FFXIV ARR will be unique. Back to the video. was awesome

Hehehehehe. People who say Bahamaut 2.0 and Deathwing are the same don't know much about Final Fantasy or WoW.

And I'd go as far as to say they don't know much about RPGs in general considering that a good portion of popular modern MMORPGs are almost carbon copies of one.

I've e-mailed that trailer to a lot of people and have garnered interest. Far more than the other trailers. Bahamut is just that sexy.

lol dwahhhh but no I just assumed because I had a post earlier mentioning both in same post, but not comparing it to bahamut. lol All good, just wasn't sure. Anyways... Ya Bahamut would kick Deathwings butt, I just find it funny people that know nothing about deathwing are just tossing him aside like he was a Paris Hilton Chihuahua needing a good punting D:!
