I thought there was something there with Vanille and Fang but it was made apparent that it could be a very close sisterhood brought by from traumatic events and living together since young. I think its arguable either way with no end result.

Sorry for posting with the word romance though - it wasnt my major intention to exclude the general social actions and kind of screwed up my end point ( community needs to stop jumping on those trying to help/square enix trying to make the world more homely - the reasoning is that square games are in general about compassion (better word then romance? lol want one word to sum up friendship and love at the same time and also give a sense of belonging.. thought romance did that XD).

btw the main love story in XI was Roagrimm (shadow lord) and Cornelia, out of their relationship came out one of the greatest evils in that game

I thought it might be Vanille x Hope. All the other parings are kinda... Pedobear-y. As for Vanille x Fang... I just saw them as close sisters. That one scene when Fang looked at Vanille's mark was questionable at first, though. Especially with everyone's reaction to it.

Haha I think it was really implicit, there was definitely some tension there but they'd never just go out and say it! They were both romantically inept I think haha XD

The san d'orian storyline was one of my favorites, it was my first nation so it's very fond to me haha

I don't think MOST of the community thinks marriage in game should not be called marriage. Did you take a survey? Did you ask the whole community? Or are you just taking your own opinion and projecting it on others? Calling marriage something besides marriage is pointless.
