Blue Mage came out in the Treasures of Aht Urhgan. 3rd expo which would be fine in a 3rd expo in ARR its a traditional class a unique class that should be treated as such. SORRY i know its your op i dont want to offend id be dissappointed if Blue mage came out at launch it should be and ADV ADV job imo just like the OP DNC

A musketeer (French: mousquetaire) was an early modern type of infantry soldier equipped with a musket. Musketeers were an important part of early modern armies, particularly in Europe. They sometimes could fight on horseback, like a dragoon or a cavalryman. The musketeer was a precursor to the rifleman.

Musketeers fought in battle both on foot (infantry) and on horseback (dragoons).

The Three Musketeers, in the magazine Le Siècle between March and July 1844. The author, Alexandre Dumas, père, based his work on the book Mémoires de Monsieur d'Artagnan, capitaine lieutenant de la première compagnie des Mousquetaires du Roi (Memoirs of Mister d'Artagnan, Lieutenant Captain of the first company of the King's Musketeers) by Gatien de Courtilz de Sandras (Cologne, 1700).

"The Three Musketeers" is what made fencing Musketeers a popular notion when they actually used muskets as their main arm.

DRG was released with ROTZ, but it was a release job.

I don't think we need to keep it to the exact same schedule as XI did. I personally think BLU would fill quite a good niche atm.

Especially seeing as a Soulflayer was found in ARR.

    I went Thief.

I first enjoyed Thief in XI, and I think I got it to around 45 ish before the party invites became so non-existent that it sort of faded away for me. It wasn't until Abyssea that I was able to get it to whatever the cap was when I played before (I think 80?)

Even if it was strenuous at times, I loved the social aspect of having to coordinate with your tank and first voke for the SA/TA. Sure plenty of people never got the idea and it got easier whenever you learned assassin, but it was just good fun landing the huge damage hits, being a very able puller, debuffing with bolts and knowing that you were leveling a job that had some fantastic self-sustainability down the road that was always going to be a great asset to provide Treasure Hunter.

Samurai would be my second pick, because almost everything I just said applies (minus very good sustainability). SAM was still a fantastic "party role" that forced you to socialize and have some fantastic fun coordinating WS's to result in fantastic results when people actually listened.

I don't feel like there is anything quite like that currently in XIV. I feel that party mechanics are rather dull and uneventful. Then again, I can only think of 2 party spots ever, and that makes me sad, because that's pathetic and everyone who enjoyed XI knows it. Part of the charm was always having to go to some new location to level up, some dangerous destination in some distant part of the game to gain the next few levels. Not "Go here to gain 1/5th of your entire levels".

I really hope we get great job variety and there are lots of interesting places to party up at in ARR.
