Is the "hero" party from the cinematic opening?

Yoshi-P could pull off an Aldo on FF14 hehe and make that party NPCs in game that would be awesome. I did wonder why those models weren't used for the Limit Break trailer ....that woulda given it more credibility

I suspected as much, so it's really cool to see that the markings on the miq'ote's face match to give a lot more credence to the notion. They represent us, the players, but I think it's nice to start having them as recurring characters with unique personalities and not be neutral, boring characters.

But besides the first question of "where's the female elezen?," in the opening cg aren't the roegadyn, female elezen, and female lalafell part of the hyur's vision using the echo? Meaning they are from the past? If it's them in the End of an Era trailer, I guess that means they met each other again in the present? (the roegadyn/elezen/lalafell being 15 years older now)

I think you are definitely right about this, because as you can see their armor weren't AF so 10 years later they level up to 50 on their journey and by end of era trailer they are all wearing AFs!

I agree...a full length movies detailing the entire journey for these full party in full HD CG would be out of this world A-mazing! I'd buy the bluray version in a heart beat.

This group seems to be the party representation in pre-rendered cg movies. While they could've picked the hyur and his party for the limit break trailer, a big point about that was showing off the new male miqo'te models and normally any in-game cutscenes would use our own characters anyway. But my thoughts exactly with the Aldo idea, they could easily make these characters NPCs and have their own storyline!

I guess "hero" is a good representation of the XIV community then. The Lalafell probably wanted to go as Dragoon and he was all like "stfu no you are a White Mage and nothing more". Poor Lalafell.

I'd like to see these characters get fleshed out, and maybe be a part of future quests. It would be cool to do the job quests with these guys too, in the cutscenes so we felt we were at the same level as them.

Like the new BRD quests for abilities would have the Miqo'te in the cutscenes.

so.. what do you think the female Elezen is? here's hoping either Monk or Dragoon lol, but mostly be a Dragoon i think haha
