On a side note, I really think the voice over was top notch.

So to clear up some confusion I've made a composite of an image from both scenes, and I'm quite positive that the Miq'ote from the opening cinematic is the same one from the "End of an Era" cinematic.Actually I'm thinking the Elezen and Miqo'te are different people. The Miqo'te in the opening cinematic had brown hair if memory serves, and looking at the Bard there she has silver/grey hair. The Elezen might be the same one but I'm rather doubtful of that, you can't actually be certain beneath that hat he wears. However the Roegadyn, Hyur, and Lalafell are the same. The Roegadyn and Lalafell are from the Echo vision the Hyur experiences from the looks of them.
Notice that they both have the same markings on their face, paired with short fringed hair on either side of her head. I assume the reddish tint in her hair in the image on the left is due to the red hue that has drenched the battlefield from Dalamud above. Also, remember what she says right at the end of the scene? "Let's give the bard something to sing about!" lol that might just be coincidence but it's something to keep in mind.
That being said, I'm quite sure the Elezen black mage is the same one from that scene as well.

Yeah I went back over the trailers to take a look, they appear to be the same. Already edited my original post on the previous page as well.So to clear up some confusion I've made a composite of an image from both scenes, and I'm quite positive that the Miq'ote from the opening cinematic is the same one from the "End of an Era" cinematic.

I suspected as much, so it's really cool to see that the markings on the miq'ote's face match to give a lot more credence to the notion. They represent us, the players, but I think it's nice to start having them as recurring characters with unique personalities and not be neutral, boring characters.
But besides the first question of "where's the female elezen?," in the opening cg aren't the roegadyn, female elezen, and female lalafell part of the hyur's vision using the echo? Meaning they are from the past? If it's them in the End of an Era trailer, I guess that means they met each other again in the present? (the roegadyn/elezen/lalafell being 15 years older now)
You know, funny thing about this, I had been thinking about it myself for a bit the other day. I realize that the group featured in both movies are just a place holder basically for our adventure since they couldnt really incorporate each indiviual player into those movies. But what I would like to see IS those four at some point in game, like Destiny's Edge from GW. There can even be special missions where they go with you as NPC escorts of sorts to help you out. Cause you know (and yes I realize it was just for show) I dont know any war that can rip through a dozen garleans like that guy did as easily and quickly as he did lol I want that guy on the front lines, always.
