Have you seen the male melee sexy gear? I have, ive spent millions double melding it so it could actually be useful, just so i could hang out with my junk hanging out. Its not sexist if both sexes get the same treatment. Trust me I make allot of my male LS mates uncomfortable, probably in the same way the OP may feel uncomfortable when looking at women in the same clothes. I also spent tons of money double melding rose gold circlets because i thought they looked cool and different. I like that we can have fun and do stupid stuff and make gear like this usable. Thats the idea of a game right? . . . To have fun.
I think its good that the development team are playing around with gear design. And sometimes affording not to take themselves so seriously. If not we would just get bigger shoulder armor and spikier helmets . . .

I just think skimpy gear looks dumb as hell.
I'd like my endgame armor to actually look like it can take a hit. I'd prefer not to have a gaping hole in my DRG's stomach just because she's sexier with it. Same for male armor where applicable.
Please Mr. Enemy, could you hit me in my soft underbelly? I've grown quite tired of being alive.
Act in such a way that you treat humanity, whether in your own person or in the person of another, always at the same time as an end and never simply as a means
And armor can be sexy without being all that revealing either.
I mean, yeah, you can see the side of her thigh, but Ibelieveknow quite well she can handle herself in a fight.
This is why I threw in (much) earlier in this thread. I'm not worried about sexism at all, just the armours. Keep 'em tasteful and actually... useful-looking! What she's wearing here is awesome AND looks like it provides some protection.
If we don't do something about this we're all going to be overrun by hordes of breast physics D cup Lalafells, all equipped with a JUMP KEY. Is this the kind of world you want your characters to grow up in? THIS IS SERIOUS.
Sex sells. Unfortunately that often means its cheapened into the lowest common appeal.
They're doing everything in their power to get this thing back off the ground. Along with a new world and server system comes 'standard features', nonsensical sexy armor, and so many references that they might not even make sense. Long as they don't go too overboard, it should be fine. But seeing as this has actually never happened before, I don't have a frame of reference. But for things like TV shows and Movie series, they tend to take too much from the "SURE THING!" pile. But Square's not an American broadcast media company, so...we'll see.
100% non shameful bump into this direction. This is why I threw in (much) earlier in this thread. I'm not worried about sexism at all, just the armours. Keep 'em tasteful and actually... useful-looking! What she's wearing here is awesome AND looks like it provides some protection.
PS that armor is awesome.
