Can someone remind me why we are still going over GLD as the basis for DRK instead of MRD? It still seems far more likely that it would come from there. The only reason PLD and DRK are even associated is because of the implied antithesis.

wep is how 1.0 work we don't know how they changing it in 2.0 they could easy allow dark knight to use a Scythe only if we equip the stone for dark knight allowing us to unlock a advance wep.5 Job Skills regardless of how hard they are to obtain doesn't make Dark Knight that much different from Paladin. Gladiator has Tanking, Sword, and Shield base abilities. What is a Dark Knight going to do with these?
Lancer makes a little more sense, but again. Armory system won't allow it because of different weapons. Also to make it "feel" like a Dark Knight, it's 5 Job abilities would have to be all Magic and that may not be enough to differentiate it from Dragoon or be enough Magic to satisfy people.

And that's exactly the mentality that I'm getting at - people are much the same with jobs and classes. What's not to say that a party of mix-up between jobs and classes will function better than a group full of jobs? It's just that people are too settled into jobs to be willing to change. Which is why I wonder at people saying that classes are useless, not gonna work etc. have actually tried using them aside from levelling them up to the required level.
What do you think people did before Jobs? Go "oh no how will we ever beat Ifrit without jobs we might as well not go" or "boy i sure would like to show those moogles what up, its to bad jobs aren't implemented yet". and you know what the funniest part of this story is. those fights became jokes once jobs were implemented.
all discussion on the forums right now is pretty useless at that but there isnt much else to do, so pointing it out doesnt help the boredom go away.
lol My thoughts exactly you beat me to it. "Ya, about as useless as chilling on the ffxiv forums when the game isn't even active. :X"
yes there are several clunky ways around the multi-weapon issues, unfortunately non of them are very streamlined.
Oh, so the all LNC parties for Ifrit were a figment of my imagination? Archers in Moogle were my imagination? Victories before job implemented were all part of my imagination? What do you think people did before Jobs? Then I really don't get what the sarcasm is for. Since classes worked before jobs got implemented, why can't people use them after jobs got implemented? Why did people have to be too settled into their jobs after implementation to try out different variations? What are you trying to get at, Valmonte, because sarcasm is not a good way to present arguments.
