Why is everyone just jumping around in the alpha footage?

seriously though can everyone just stop fucking crying for five hours max? not even a full day. just a few hours. can you do that?

you people are the most insufferable lot of players i've ever had the misfortune of encountering. it's like you have some version of tourettes where you get random ticks of bitching and crying and moaning instead of cursing

I only find certain end-game shells insufferable. I can deal with people crying and whining because that's what humans do, but people who act like they're better than everyone else because they have a different set of pixels than someone else is much more insufferable lol.

Besides, it's a legit point..there was no purpose to spamming jump every damn second possible..yes you have freedom to jump, yes people said "When Jump is implemented no one will spam it stfu"...this is basically just stating "yep it does look as silly as people figured."

It's a good thing all you people who hate jump (and anything else that's fun/QoL) aren't in charge; you'd lose revenue for the company (yep, some people won't play because the lack of engaging mobility- e.g. jumping a fence vs. running alllllll the way around it), and not only is SE a company whose business is to make money, but lost revenue = less money to funnel into ARR.

I doubt it, that would be the same as filtering all emotes that make you do a motion.

People should just chill and not make such a big deal out of it. Just as many people will spam it like they do with primal weapons out of boredom and what not. However... jumping has always been done quite a bit in all the other MMOs I've played. You get used to it.


Can we get back to complaining about grass and jiggling boobs now?

Are you people really THAT upset that people are jumping? Lol. Like others have said, the novelty will wear off. There will always be some people who jump up and down all the times (there always are a few in every MMO), but you can't do anything about that. I imagine people jumping a lot in PvP, or PvE when they want to interrupt a spell cast or ability. (It's easier than moving or pressing the ability again, but hey -- with your location mapping being noticeable improved in ARR, it might not matter if you move a fraction of an inch. In 1.0, you'd often think you were in one position, but be a few feet one way or another when looking at yourself on others' screens. This was really annoying in fights that required precise placement to avoid mob abilities.)

If you don't like it, don't jump? Lol. I really don't see an issue with it. I do like the fact that I can now jump up a cliff that is only 2 feet high, rather than being forced to go around it because my character, despite conquering the many trials of Eorzea, can't figure out how to climb up ledges yet.
