Hello people, I thought I create a thread to see what people like to see FFXIV 2.0 implemented in the future whether it's from an old FF series or new one that has never been done before.
Give us your best opinion and thoughts!

(Before people set their phasers to kill check his post count and join date lol)
You have happened to have made a thread made 10 times before :P
Now give me a sec I'll make a little list
-- Era/Style --
FFXIV so far has shown strong influences form the most recent FF but I'd really like to see some more of the steampunk (ish) propeller airships, and giant stone castles. I feel FFIX was a great example of this.
Would love to see some sort of ancient castle in that style.
-- Mini Games --
I think it could be really interesting to see a competitive mini game introduced like Tetra master or Blitzball (though blitz ball needs some tweaks XD)
In general I would also like to see whimsical minigames like the pinball TD in FF7 or the jump rope game of FF9
-- Solo Content --
We already have solo content, but I'd like to see some real challenging solo only content - I'd like to see rewards for skill alone not just with groups. (Though the focus of the game shouldn't be solo content - it is however something they should consider, at least when they have time).
-- Travel --
Natural means of travel with scenic views - many of the FF had unique transportation often with a "SE view". Would also like to see a stronger importance on natural transportation (there is a thread already on this though).
-- Materia --
I despise the RNG and limited use of the current materia and would like to see a more long term and more from the roots system

Cross-play with FFXI. Example: Actions in FFXIV ARR can effect FFXI and viceversa.
deeper example:
Since both FFXI and FFXIV races are similar, lets say we live in parallel universe on a different planet, and we're able to communicate with each other. Someone from FFXI will make a request to a free company in FFXIV that can only be done in FFXIV to effect something in FFXI.
Completing these request will earn us rewards of course.

Instanced dungeons/fights that aren't caves would be nice. Too many caves in v1.
That would nearly impossible...but would be a very nice concept.Cross-play with FFXI. Example: Actions in FFXIV ARR can effect FFXI and viceversa.

These would be fun little addtion to the world of FFXIV ARR and somewhere down the line I believe they will add minigames into the mix.(Before people set their phasers to kill check his post count and join date lol)

Jump puzzles. Similar to RIFT and Guild Wars 2.
Puzzles out in the field or dungeons. Pushing rocks against a wall, for example, to get to a higher ledge
Monthly/daily achievements
Secret bosses. Bosses you have to really go out of your way for to fight.
Solo and duo content
I want the Battle on the Big Bridge..complete with the music and of course Gilgamesh himself =D
Would be knocked off my feet with surprise and joy if any of these ever came about;
1. Traditional materia. I would love if it were equipped on and off, starting at tier 1 and growing with us in to higher tiers as we fought with it equipped. I'd like to see materia fusion as the loss factor to replace materia melding, fuse 2 full grown orbs with varying results/loss.
2. Underwater exploration & fighting! Swimming through underground ruins. Fighting a gigantic Leviathan underwater, launching himself up and swimming about the field, this would make me pass out lol.
3. Collectibles, small randomly spawning objects scattered about the world, usually hidden in out of the way spots. They had this in Rift, you kinda felt compelled to explore the world because you could add them to a library and exchange them for novelty mounts and fun items.
4. Something i cant imagine we will ever see, but a playable beastman race that is more animal than human. Like humanoids with wolf or canine heads, just something that isnt cute/pretty/sexy/handsome because god knows we'll have enough in ARR.
