Speedrun gone won't change anything on how PUG parties does stuff, they will still go with cookie cutter set regardless.Good that speedruns will get gone. It'll remove that strict policy of only taking certain jobs in because were trying to do this incredibly fast. This will hopefully allow people to enjoy the content that's there, rather than feeling like they're going to be left out if they don't have the best gear (or levels) on a job people are only willing to invite to an instance.
Specially if they follow "we're the best!" linkshell's examples as the law, which they tend to..which is where all of the problems come from. With alliance content and a certain..feature to say, stacking is most likely abolished.
I'm not sure why everyone is under the assumption that removal of speed timers make variations in party build ups... regardless if there is a speed bonus people will still take the most effective jobs into the raid.. so if that means a 6 dragoon 1 whm 1 tank or whatever.. guess what.. thats what people will be running as.
Class stacking will always be around.
in FFXIV there are two reasons to use cookie cutter class combinations: speed runs and efficiency.I'm not sure why everyone is under the assumption that removal of speed timers make variations in party build ups... regardless if there is a speed bonus people will still take the most effective jobs into the raid.. so if that means a 6 dragoon 1 whm 1 tank or whatever.. guess what.. thats what people will be running as.

If speed runs will be gone there will only be one reason to use cookie cutter class combinations. It's an improvement.
Less that it'll prompt people to have variation and more that at least there will be the opportunity. As is was/is, no one is going take certain jobs to a speed run because it's likely going to lead to failure. If that very short time limit is gone, people will at least consider adding something besides a big ol group of one class. Sometimes it ends up being self-defeating anyway. I've seen too many people trying to do something, only to end up not doing because "Oh gosh, we can't find another BLM!".I'm not sure why everyone is under the assumption that removal of speed timers make variations in party build ups... regardless if there is a speed bonus people will still take the most effective jobs into the raid.. so if that means a 6 dragoon 1 whm 1 tank or whatever.. guess what.. thats what people will be running as.

I'd like to see that gone at the very least.
I got that information too. Seems like... But I can't remember that they mentioned that the timers will be removed in ARR. =/
