I have to thank Square-Enix for the amazing job they have done recreating Final Fantasy XIV from Scratch. Especially the inclusion of Missing Genders which we petitioned for in good faith. This was proof to us players that the Developers are truly Sympathetic to our requests and that being honest and vocal can pay off with the amazing characters we have who are Female Roegadyn, Male Miqote, and Female Highlanders. Thank You SE, Thank You Community Team, Thank You Yoshi-P.
ya took me a min to notice, so we already know grand companies are starting some content today. Looks like they not waiting for ps3 to release missing gender npcs... so chances are there is good chance playble races @ ps3 lauch. Ima still make a lalafell. ima just find every male miqo'te and drool. :3
For the love of Ru'Avitau, i didn't see that!
...
Those poor elezen women will see their already niche supporter base sway towards the new competitors if this is what the concept art for female roegadyn is all like.
Also this thread has reached 100 pages lol and almost 1000 responses, that's pretty intense.
So happy to hear we're actually going to be getting this. I'm going to keep making progress in hopes that we'll have some option to change be it a one-time deal or even $/crysta. I'm sure SE wouldn't mind making a couple extra dollars off people wanting to change their race.

Merlwyb is a Female Roegadyn.
Elezen have shorter necks then Elvaan. Merlwyn is closer to Elvaan then Elezen in the neck department.
Elezen do not have a Brow nose bridge line like Roegadyn do and like Merl has.
Merl has Short Spikey hair that curves her head and points backwards like Roegadyn, no Elezen female has this hair style as all Elezen Hairstyles are braided or down.
Merlwyb follows the Roegadyn Naming Convention (Lots of Y's and duplicated single syllables.)
Elezen use a French style for all names. Roegadyn use a very rough language as their source but I can't identify it.

Yeah i think Merlwyb is a Female Roegadyn looks so pretty![]()
Not to mention being in Limsa it would follow the lore for the Sea Wolves. The more and more I look at her the more I'm almost 100% certain she is. Her design even conveys some power and authority without being huge or necessarily muscular, I love it! Even in the big picture for Companies with her on the chocobo, almost certainly a Roegadyn.
I agree, I had to take a double take but yeah she is Roegadyn.Merlwyb is a Female Roegadyn.
