Why? Alpha's aren't for "playing" normally like a released game. You're testing, not "playing", playing is what got us 1.0. They said 1 month but that doesn't mean it won't be the final week of november, thus: "by december."
Where did i say a word about playing? O_o
Final week of November could be possible for the last Phase, the post i quoted stated Phase THREE for december. And the Alpha did start when? not on the 1st of Nov, and they are in Phase 2 since Yoshi said that last week.. so people expect really 3 more weeks of Phase 2? Thats not going to happen.
This is how people set themselves up for disappointment. Yes, they may have said a "month" but like i've said before, an exact date wasn't given for a reason and still hasn't.Where did i say a word about playing? O_o

Just accept the possibility that phase 3 could start early December.
I dont have a Problem with Alpha taking more time than said. It's just grinding my gears how people go straight away "hey this takes 100% 4 times longer than said for sure". Esp. after a Comment like that from Yoshi:
People just spread their negative attitude, instead of looking towards more informations. The alpha test is also underway, and we’re glad to say there have been no major problems as we begin taking in lots of player feedback.
We’ll continue to add more testers as we go along, so be sure to keep an eye on your inbox! (There will be an announcement on twitter when we send out invites.)

Because there's a chance they'll take 1-2 weeks break between the Japanese and NA/EU test phases, it happened during 1.0's testing they took a short break between the alpha phases after going for 2 weeks straight 3 times a week.Where did i say a word about playing? O_o

I say "playing" because it seems most of the excitement for alpha is to play Alpha, rather than test, otherwise it wouldn't be a problem if phase 3/4 (if they still even need a 4th phase) could be pushed toward/into december ;p.
Oh, no doubt about that. But i would assume if SE gives out a Statement they include the "break-times" they actually plan on. Yeah possible and like i said i dont have a Problem with Alpha taking more time, just the attitude of certain people is annoying. We dont know certain things and until we do i go with last words being given out.
I am actual a person who would test.![]()
No dates are confirmed so it's silly to speculate. In my opinion though, if they said alpha will take a month, then I daresay it will be 4 phases without a break. What do they need to have a break for? To get more coffee and biscuits?
Also what happened in 1.0 =/= what will happen with 2.0 plans.. Different devs, different producer, different mentality.
Since they are in Phase 2, I would assume they are close to sending out Phase 3 Alpha invites. So it wouldn't hurt to check your e-mails.
