Battling RNG is time consuming and frustrating, but there is nothing difficult about it. Personally, I'll stick to melding for good gear until RNG and speed runs are removed or the reliance on them is reduced, simply for the fact that with melding the only frustrated player I have to deal with is myself. I hate doing dungeons when everyone is completely frustrated that every win isn't a speed run, because one little thing went wrong and reduced the drop rate. Some (a lot of) players can be complete douchebags when they don't get what they want.

Why dont you get the speed chest if one little thing goes wrong, its a 25 minute timer in a dungeon that only takes 15 minutes. You should have plenty of extra time even if you wipe.

You're funny. I didn't try because of the reasons I mentioned. I don't have to justify myself to you. But if you'd like ask anyone in my ls to recall the LS meeting I had with them after the introduction of the relic quest.
