Monsters from previous FF titles: What do you want in ARR?

from what i understand, in ancient eorzea there was at least one extremly developed civilization. so something like ancient high tech monster should be possible

I don't think so. The only thing we really know about ancient Eorzea is that the wandering tribes called the gods and godesses that inhabited Aldenard 'the twelve' and said tribes were blessed by the twelve. Eventually the tribes warred with each other and nearly tore the planet apart.

The ancient civilization that I believe he is referring to is Allag. Though I'm positive that they aren't from Eorzea, and rather one of the other two continents.

I've never heard of Allag. Where was it mentioned, NPC somewhere?

Well we don't really know too much about Allag. All we know is that they worshiped the twelve and had 'onion knights'.

The Allagan empire spanned all of Eorzea too.

Also The Allagan Empire created Dalamud. So they play a pretty big role in that sense.

Nor does Golbez
or Kefka
or Ultimecia
or Kuja
or Jecht/Yu Yevon
or Shadowlord
or Vayne
or Orphan

or any other key storyline character from any other FF game - unless they are generic enough to be abstracted and redesigned for this game. (see Cid, Bigs & Wedge, The FFXII espers, etc)

Want to fight Sephiroth again? Go play FFVII, KH or Dissidia.
