test and postHello Everyone! This is how you kill mobs with /pray
1) It need to be 15 peoples or more who pray.
2) All who pray need to have done the quest Living On A Prayer.
3) All Who pray need to have the guardian ring on (you get it in Living On A Prayer).
4) All need to /pray at same time.
5) WARNING: It wont work on all mobs!!!
If it wont work i dont know but at my server: Ridill it worked but not everytime its hard to get peoples to do it. Well we killed 2 that Magitek Garlean things. So it work.

You know, I always get a kick out of reading remarks like this; those that imply that somehow FFXIV hasn't been fun at all. Then I go and check out the history of the character on the account, to find that - as in your case - your first achievement was back on 9/25/2010, and you have almost all classes/jobs to 50 - including DoL and DoH classes. On top of whatever other milestones you've achieved along the way.
If you were someone who barely played at all in all that time, didn't get very far and had made only moderate progress, I could maybe say "Okay, they maybe were trying to enjoy it and were struggling along". But when you've done as much as you have, and stuck with the game as long as you have, it just seems very disingenuous to come out with such a cynical sounding statement as what you just said there.
Certainly you enjoyed the gameplay enough to have kept with it all this time. Unless you're a genuine masochist. Are you just trying to sound clever and cynical? Relentlessly negative? Is your cup always half empty?
I'm not just pointing you out, it's a lot of people on here I notice doing this. I knew someone back in XI who played for about 6 years without a break - and complained about how horrible and un-fun the game was every single day of it. I used to question him all the time too about how he could possibly continue playing a game so much and for so long that he seemed to hate with a passion. He never really had an answer.
I just don't understand that.

I think we've made some kind of breakthrough on Balmung
We had Magiteks up for about 3 hours..some ppl from our LS went out to pray at the stones and some of us stayed in Uldah. A few seconds after said ppl said they prayed to the stones the mobs would drop to 0%. This has happened about 4 times so far.
this was while i was doing living on a prayer to get my ringI think we've made some kind of breakthrough on Balmung

Anyone have a video of this working? I still don't believe it's true.
Balmung is stuck trying to kill a 73 Buffalo.
We think praying only works on ?? NMs.
Still might need to go out and about.
So far having no luck of it on Excalibur... I even went to my own stone to pray.
I think you pray to the stones in the order of Living on a Prayer. I also agree that praying to the stones only affects "??" NMs. Some other theories people have is certain monsters are only affected by a certain deity. Sorry I only have proof through word of mouth, but other servers should test this out too, it only took one person to wipe out a couple of those NMs by using pray.
I still think the mobs either 1) Glitch and die or 2) are on some sort of time and die randomly. I've seen three Number 128's die and no body was praying. I've seen people spam pray endlessly and eventually something dies...and they figure "must be because I prayed".
Meh, not sure but I think pray doesn't work.
