I still think the mobs either 1) Glitch and die or 2) are on some sort of time and die randomly. I've seen three Number 128's die and no body was praying. I've seen people spam pray endlessly and eventually something dies...and they figure "must be because I prayed".

Meh, not sure but I think pray doesn't work.

It works, seems like its random though. We prayed a magitek to death and my party got a tricorn drop. No one in my party touched the mob physically, we did nothing but pray and it died.
