Xmbei exactly, however, many people are writing that post off as it already happening. A retelling of, "Living on a pray."

I don't think anyone will mass people by the stones until a group does it, which is next to impossible because no one wants to leave precious Ulduh as usual.
The thing is we are meant to lose at this point. Trying to find a way to win now is like trying to find a way for Romeo and Juliet to live when you know it's going to end badly.

It makes sense, you still try to find a way to win or save people when all seems lost, who just gives up? See all the people throwing their bodies at the 90 mobs, they are not giving up for sure, they want to take one down. That argument makes it more likely there is a way to hold them off till Dalamud drops on us and all is lost, and us adventurers are flung into the future.
yes its to end badly but the 12 won't return on their own volition. Yes it seems rather obscure and "pointless" to you but for the event it fits... I can't wait till like 3rd update they go okay all mobs are level 100 NM so like lvl 150 they all have AOE 9999 Damage that burns every 3 seconds and has a radius of the whole area so all die no matter what. yet people will still fight so the next update will be "Okay guys go pray to the stones"
People are so obstinant that Fighting must be the only content for a game, no other form of accomplishing a task.
I am not saying people shouldn't be fighting them but I think they have a quicker respawn timer expecially for the harder to kill mobs like the juggernaut. People can still do that, but I don't think that is what SE had in mind for us to do exactly right now...

has anyone had success with the praying at the stones? i tried to get it organized in uldah on hyperion but only a handful showed up.
Well I wasn't saying it was pointless really. I'm just thinking that you can't get upset about fighting a losing battle when the plot is that we are supposed to lose. I for one am enjoying the lvl 90 mobs. I'm not helping with the fight with hopes of actually killing the things, I'm helping with the fight because it's fun to roleplay and it's fun to join in on a group endeavor.yes its to end badly but the 12 won't return on their own volition. Just don't be disappointed if there is no way to "win" this event... y'know?

then whats point logging in? if i know its just gunna end badly where i die or spend the next 10 days auto attacking the same mob seems pointless and not worthwhile.
Guess this is fine for some people though. I was hoping for something i could "experience."
Hey OP. Uninstall your game like me![]()

I would say the point to logging in now is to witness the end. We're not logging in to win anymore. In fact, how would you feel if you did accomplish something? You would probably expect some kind of recognition, which won't happen because we are past the save point.
