No event on Gungnir still...

Yeah, me too, but to be completely honest I'm not exactly pained by the fact I didn't get slaughtered by a million of ultra-high-level mobs without even a chance to gain something that will carry to ARR

The whole atmosphere of the weather and music is enough for me, at least until the final event.

Neither am I but the fact that we are basically just left sitting here for over 12 hours now with nothing going on while other servers are getting to battle things is just kind of annoying. Everyone that is on is on to experience the end event, but that doesn't really matter if they are waiting until most of the server population that is waiting on things to happen are asleep.

Considering that "most of the server population" in gungnir is Japanese (at least judging from the fact that Japanese hours have always been a lot more lively), I would say your last statement is a tad incorrect.

Also, there's plenty happening all over the server. You just chose to stand at the gate of ul'dah and wait for something to happen there.

I went everywhere on the server last night and was one of the first people on the server to know that anything had changed because I warped out to coerthas to test video recording software while everyone was sitting in uldah waiting for something to happen. I don't consider more atomos mobs spawning in the same place atomos mobs normally spawn and garleans appearing in places they have already been as something new and exciting, especially when the only new atomos mob doesnt give anything special when you kill it.

It's way more than they needed to do, combined with the new weather and atmosphere. Nothing happening between now and the 11th is owed to us. It's just a cool little bonus. They gain very little from doing it (anyone still playing now will try ARR for sure anyway).

So yeah, seeing people with an attitude like they're entitled to it kind of makes me smile.

I dont think alot of us feel like we are "owe'd" anything. But are excited about what kind of things they are going to do the next few days as they world comes to an end so we are looking for things. With an atmosphere like the one they set up if its just some thunder its going to be kindda a let down from all the great things they have done so far.

I don't see why you would. It's obvious that then manpower at the moment is (rightly) focused on the ARR alpha, as it should be. I don't see any logic in expecting anything groundbreaking. ARR is a rare second opportunity in the market. Any company making any sense would pump all the available resources into it.

What they did, is already more than what was to be expected.

I do agree, dont get me wrong. And if it is just 10 days of thunder that will be fine too. Its just the anticipation of it all lol
