seriously why not save on 11th? no motivation at all to log on after last save for me. Whole reason i play mmos is because i want to progress lol. If i am not going get my progression saved I would rather play a more exciting and engaging game during my time then watch cutscenes .

Its most likely going to be a cutscenes though why else do we have the timer . Also perhaps a different bg playing. Maybe more cactuars. Also more npcs spamming the chat log lol.

Ok so "fun" is logging in for 10 days for the chance of a cutscene is "fun"? or an event where there has been very little build up or info about what is going to happen. With everything you do during that time being erased soon.
I can watch the cutscene on youtube any time i want to . Why waste my time logging in . Not like i anything i do during that time is saved.

I am someone who doesnt bother with achievements or seasonal events as well.

Now if progress was saved i would feel less like my time was being wasted.

The Finale starts November 1st (JST) October 31st in almost everywhere else and the Impact is November 11th (PST Midnight)

It's a 10-day event ( most likely timed-event)

It's not exactly a bad assumption. I'd bet that at the very least, they will change the music of someplace to that crazy version of answers. They - are - taking the servers down, sneaking up a small patch to enable who knows what wouldn't be hard.

If the event gave me info about what i could do then maybe. But going from what SE has actully done rather then naive speculation . I expect nothing but a different bgm, npc spamming chat, perhaps invisible mobs oneshotting people and some cutscenes. Yeah not what i consider fun .

SE could reward their faithful with an actual epic event though good luck lol.

Okay we get it. You don't like the idea of cut-scenes. You think anything that doesn't progress your character is a waste of time. You think a large-scale event, bringing in the end of the current game/world and making way for the next, where people can log in simply to hang out and have fun with in-game friends/ls-mates is pointless because you can't see any fun in it.

We got it. Really, we do. Others don't share your cynicism and can enjoy the event for what it is.

Well enjoy yourself i guess. All i see is afkers in uldah with noone talking in chat just in ls. Im eu so theres less people to talk to when i can play since its most just jp on during my time. Very few eu and na on my server. Atomos does go down during na time.
