Just like other said melds are worth less in 2.0 so no one really going to buy them right now. In 2.0 HQ items would give better chance at high T materia also if you SB the gear before adding materia you get more % and melds getting nerf so i see HQ gear costing more due to this change.

But anyways i hope someone can help you with the fight there still good melds none the less.

I have listed final stats and hat itself actually has int 5 since it's +1, I melded it with 2 III +15. You should have asked first or at least checked my bazaar (I have all those items listed there), before assuming anything.

It costs 500k+ to craft single +1 hat. Usually it takes 2 tries per 1 hat. So out of 100 tries you get 50 hats+1 and ~9 double-melds out fo them (those numbers are taken from my own practice - I did exactly that).

So 50 hats = 50 mil.
100 materia III+15 = 40 mil.

As a result we have 9 double-melded hats+1 for 90 mil. So production cost is 90/9=10 mil per hat. Then we add % for rarety, risk and later investments (+50%) and also add ~50% of base cost to make profit for living. Ta-da: one hat costs 18~20 mil. It's simple.

achieve the same with normal hats with int15 and int16, costs you like 700k (?) per try - about 17% chance? i can see that sum up to about 4 mil cost.

oh btw my woolen hat with 2 int+2 materia is worth 300 mil: 10k the hat, 5k the materia, i needed 2 hats to succeed = 30k cost. Now i add % for rarety ( I'm sure its the only hat like that!), risk and later investments and Ta-da: This hat costs 300 mil. It's simple.
