Personally, I think that this danger wouldn't be a problem, but more of a deterrent to marry for the sake of it. Maybe I'm being a bit old-fashioned about it though, idk.What happens to those e-couples that date for a week and break up? Things could get messy if people cleaned eachother out... kinda like how in XI people would share account info then wake up one day with no items after a nasty spat, or the guys that pose as girls with the sole purpose of draining gil/gear from someone D:

That kind of gravity never stopped people from trading account info to their e-partners in XI D:
There would be a lot of GM calls from spurned exes, kinda like there was in XI when someone jacked the other person's stuff x_x.
Though earlier the idea of 2 sets of storage was tossed around (personal & shared), I think this could work really well and save people from themselves/eachother^^;
that being said, I see where you're coming from and only wish people would be that sensible^^;, have a good day Soukyuu^^

Me and the wife can't actually live together right now due to various things, so it would be cool to at least share a house in game. I'm all for this.
Of course, the issue of both of us playing female miqo'te comes in at that point...

I think it's an interesting idea, I know I wouldn't share a house with my fiance and myself because we both have VERY different views on houses but of course we will be in eachother's houses.

*fails to see the problem*
I've seen people be quite resourceful on that miqo'te part... Well, it depends on what your wife likes lol.

I'd love to share my home and storage with my husband, it would be so helpful since he crafts wvr/ltw and I craft gsm/crp ... we are always trading each other little bits of materials the other can use.
Imagine just going home and dropping it in a chest so that when your partner gets home from work and logs in, they can roll out of their hecked bed and see what you left for them ^_^

I wholeheartedly support the option of having a shared housing or storage capability. My husband and I have played together since we met in FFXI. We do a TON of trading between us, especially in XIV as he's the gatherer/farmer and I'm the crafter. Also, since he's much better at battle classes than I am, he gets more U/U items. I would really love it if we could have the option to share those with our spouse (not that it's likely to happen, but would be really nice).
Anyway, I support this!

Hum. I <3 my husband, but there's just no way I'd want to share a house with him in game when given the option of my own. Why? Because then I couldn't decorate exactly how I want it because he'll want a say in it too. I have to compromise design decisions IRL already! In game, if I want a purple roof on my house then I'm going to have it! If I want a polka dot comforter then I'm going to have one!
Other couples might not have such strong opinions on decorating as we do thoughI like the convenience factore of couples housing and storage, but I'll happily give up that idea to know I can paint my walls dayglow yellow if the mood arises.
A note to the devs: If you do decide to implement shared housing for couples, please make it optional! I'd love to do the in game wedding again like my husband and I did in FFXI, but I don't want that to lock me into sharing my pixel house with him.
