But if someone is willing to pay 49m to BG then let them it's there money there people in my world with 500m-max gil so someone paying 49m is pretty much noting to people like that.

That's really the way to look at this. It doesn't matter what BG charges if people are willing to pay. You can't really call BG greedy for charging exorbitant prices on what is essentially a vanity item. It's the Masarati of accessories.

It comes down to is that White Ravens is a unique item that cannot be obtained anymore (1 week). For all we know it may be the only earring to ever have Refresh even as level cap raises since we know how sparingly SE adds items with Refresh, at least in XI.

People pay (or have paid) over 50m gil on Durandal for the relic quest (Sword/Spear/Bow+Coins) and that's something that is staying in 2.0 so its not totally out of line with the White Ravens, which is going away.

Bottom line is if you feel White Ravens is worth the price, great. If not then either try to beat it on your own in 7 days, accept that you'll never have it, or try to find someone else that will run you through for cheaper; if there is anyone. Gil can be re-farmed, White Ravens cannot.

This is a sad thread. I'd rather have players who had the skill to beat this keep their earring, than for others to get (for a price) it just cheapens the earring for everyone.
