Will we have the chance to change names once ARR starts?

@dzian it was dx crash but they accused the person of doing it on purpose kicked him from the party and now noone will give him a chance so theres no way for him to prove he didnt do it on purpose. lots of people dc during hamlet so i dont see the problem. i guess it was cause he got the seal while his char was still logged in after he crashed. not his fault but people arent believing it. so its not fair really.

Well if they weren't prepared to give him a chance fair enough. But I've seen people exit with stuff not seeing it drop to there individual loot pool but usually they're like oh shit and make every effort to put it right. Some guy ninja'd my Militia Cuirass once and stayed up 5 hours trying to help me get another and even pulled his friends out to fill the party when reps were needed the hamlet ended up ticking over to GB though without getting one to drop but gotta respect him for trying to put it right.

For me I just want to change my first character's last name, couldn't come up with anything when originally created it so just put first name backwards. Now just want all my character's to have the same last names. Honestly don't feel like re-rolling fresh especially if I do get my hands on an Imp-Op Hat.

Basically 2 reasons for name changes

1) Have a bad reputation
2) Chose something stupid but funny in the moment e.g. "Melty Strawberry" instead of a "real" name.

Not really happy for the people who may get a chance to get out of the former, but hopefully seeing a lot less of the latter will be awesome.

People never really change and even if the first one is their reasoning they will end up in the same place on the new name. Same can be said with server transfers when like in XI someone does something to unforgivable they become an outcast to the entire community and they change servers to start anew only to end up an outcast there because they couldn't break old habits.

I for one would love the opportunity to change my character's name.
I've seen others who have made the same mistake as myself, originally thinking "Lord" would make a great first name for my character, you know... being a prefix and all.

Unluckily for myself and the like, a slew of NPC's refer to us as "Lord Lord" >.>

Please let us have the chance to fix this with the launch of 2.0.
