Funny for 10 minutes - obnoxious afterwards. And you wouldnt be the only person. If it happened frequently enough to fill the streets with capable fighters in stupid outfits like WoW has filled the ground and sky with silly looking rainbow mounts (literally and figuratively) then I'd have to go back to single player games.

Either let me turn it off on my side (doesnt effect you at all), or put some restrictions to what can be vanity slotted (more then just "requires job") - I think doing both would be best...

It will be disappointing if SE officially turns its game into a clown fest. (while some people may look a little silly, vanity unrestricted will go beyond what we -already- have)

People wearing costumes in the streets wont be a vanity addition. People can already do that... It doesnt matter if you can wear it over your armor or in replacement of it. All costumes are lvl 1-20 all class/job. No big deal.

Right but they cant fight bosses in those costumes. (Ifrit because of how his damage works sometimes is an exception, but go fight Nael hard or garuda hard in full reindeer, if you win I'll stfu).

I think funny things every now and then, is well funny. But making the whole game a joke by making it effective - that's not.

But as other people have pointed out and myself - with restrictions and options to turn it off its a lesser to zero issue for me.

but will YOU see them in the dungeon wearing the costume? And you were talking about 'in the streets', which is what i was refereing to as being done there anyways. How many people do you see walking around with their yukata, reigndeer, or dream gear on now? Dont expect that number to change too drastically just because of vanity slots.

It really doesn't matter if they do or dont put a restriction on putting seasonal gear in vanity slots, people will have fun in their own way regardless. All other gear will have required class, and if they make vanity slots follow class/job requirements with the gear placed there, there wont be any issue people claim there will be.

Oh great. We get jump, we get a mount fest and now the game loses its physical aspect. Why do we need gear with stats then? Just do all in costumes! Yes please! Time to go back to FFXI -.-
