Why does everyone on these forums ask for a toggle for everything. The clouds are not pretty, lets toggle it off, oh no grass lets toggle it off....

Coming from someone that really doesn't like the idea I'd like to highlight this post. Just make a toggle where you can turn off vanity gear. For example with it toggled off you would not see anyone's vanity equipment, only what they're actually wearing. Those who don't like the system have the option to not be subjected to it, and those that do like the system can still enjoy it. Everyone's happy, no?There is no need for the troll argument, especially since the idea is valid. On the toggle button, it is a very fair solution for those who like the idea or don't. However, knowing SE, they will only give us the bare minimum of the system.
For those opposed to it, if you want a toggle button, just keep bugging SE about it and hope they listen. They did for the people who wanted vanity after Yoshi-P said he didn't want it.
On the button however, it is not as easy to program as you think, but it is definitely possible.
This is a good example of when a toggle is needed. I'm not one for toggling everything, but I'm also not one for running dungeons with people wearing event item display on their actual gear. If you wanna look like warrior as your whm I shouldn't have to see it, thus the toggle.
"But it will be class/level restricted!"
Are people really serious in believing no one would complain if they can't do what they want with the vanity system?
This is how it works in the vast majority of other MMOs without much complaint. Off the top of my head I can't think of a single MMO that allows one class to look like another.

Except that if there are class restrictions you won't be able to make the WHM look like a warrior because WHM can't equip warrior gear.
We all know someone will complain about restrictions, though this is all dependent on how far SE goes in restricting vanity slots. Blizzard, believe it or not, is REALLY stingy with their restrictions for transmogrification, and has a ton of limitations. While several don't apply (the "guns to bows" bit, the stuff with void storage, heirlooms and legendaries), the first and the last one would be a very good place for SE to start with. The last one also covers the issue with seasonal gear. Admitedly, I'm iffy on that because on the WoW forums we have some who have been asking for certain gear to be allowed for transmogging (like a certain poster that wants to wear a Vile Fumigator's Mask full-time but can't because it wasn't flagged for transmog).
* The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.
* Design ideas:
Red Mage - COMPLETE (https://tinyurl.com/y6tsbnjh), Chemist - Second Pass (https://tinyurl.com/ssuog88), Thief - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/vdjpkoa), Rune Fencer - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/y3fomdp2)

WoW's transmoging system is also a gil sink. Instead of merely equipping it in a different slot, you pay to have that slot changed into the look of an item you own, following those restrictions. I'll be fine with it becoming a gil sink to change a slots appearance the same way here.Except that if there are class restrictions you won't be able to make the WHM look like a warrior because WHM can't equip warrior gear.

Can i toggle trolls off? Hmmm, still see your post guess not. Let's stick to the matter at hand.
