All of you hop on over to Rien's translation page and read the part where Yoshi says flat out in a Japanese interview that it would be asking too much of his staff to have it released before the end of January. So yeah, March is prob the soonest.

This was intern people, no alpha testers. Alpha start at end of october

Didnt they say that pc players would be allowed to beta test the game before the offcial launch?

Closed beta only, and phase one of both the alpha and beta tests will consist of only Japanese players. So if your application is accepted, then yes you will be able to play in phase two of the beta testing. That's the way I understand it.

Developers set release dates before beta testing all the time, and have done so for decades.
