Any quest you have in progress but not completed when 1.0 shuts down you will have to start it from the beginning. Of course if you already have 1 or more of the 4 pieces of AF for that quest, you'll most likely immediately flag those as you start the quest up again.Just curious I cant seem to find any information on it but if you have unfinished artifact quests open at shutdown/save how will you be able to do those again in ARR? Is there any information on those quests and how you will continue them yet? Just curious..
edit: just to be clear I am talking about unfinished AF quests as in started in game now but incomplete come save..
See thats what I am worried about, I just hope they dont make some conflict so that those with unfinished AF will have to wait months until they fix the quests...
There's nothing to worry about. And if any issue like that were to happen, it sure wouldn't take months after discovering it to fix it...
The quest advances when you have the four pieces of AF and not before. the way I see it, even when the quest is reset, when you go to do it again, you'll already effectively have it 25/50/75% done.
The worst thing I could imagine possibly happening is you'd have to check all four places again and you wouldn't recieve duplicates for the ones you already have, because they're U/U. Either that or you'd simply have to toss the old one in order to continue with the quest. In FFXI you could reset the AF quests, and the same sort of deal applied.
The save data conversion is going to take a long time largely in part because of how different things will be- they will be taking their time to make sure it is done properly.
