Then I would make Items worth to sell to NPC and would be rich the first 5 days.
Or the first 5 minutes, until the RMTs flood the maps.
I would rather see the gil reduce to zero across the board. Just reducing our gil 1/10th helps me no bit at all. For one I don't have 999mil gil and won't get the benefit the reduce to 99mil gil offers people who do. I have 1 mil gil which goes down to 100k which by my idea of what will happen when arr goes live, the 99mil people will be jerking the markets off trying to hold monopolies so us 100k ppl don't get crap for months till we finally get our gil back. If I was to say manage to keep my 1mil gil then I would not be so damn bitter about it. But seeing as I don't and have never had 999mil gil I say let SE take everyones gil. Start fresh earning it back so we don't see stupid market prices from the get go.

You need to think about how broken this logic is.
Zero does not account for the wealth in skills and goods people have earned and stockpiled before 2.0
You will have the EXACT. SAME. WEALTH. You ever had. Here is why:
You are migrating to a country named "Arealmrebornia" where they will only accept the local currency, called g|l. Looks like this g|l is worth 10x as much as the traditional gil when you exchange it. Also, quest rewards only reward g|l, so each coin is 10x harder to earn.

if you do that then you need to remove all levels and all gear you have achieved from the start of the game until now and i'll go find another game to play while people start over.I would rather see the gil reduce to zero across the board. So... you're poorer than richer people in FFXIV right now... and you're upset that you'll be poorer than richer people in 2.0?I would rather see the gil reduce to zero across the board. Its ok Seth, I still love you and believe everything you say is true! <3
On a serious note I wouldn't be against it if some sort of compensation were given to those who has millions (I have only 10k so not I!) but I understand why they'd rage out if this did come to pass.
