How much "big" will be ARR Housing?

After seeing other mmo's and the customization abilities that they have available for their players' housing, Such as Wildstar, I hope SE doesn't drop the ball on it. I loved my moghouse in XI, but looking back, although good for it's time, it's rather limiting now. At least they say there's a lot more customization....aww hell I dunno. I'm excited to see what happens...just trying so hard not to raise my hopes too high.

i just want a delivery system thats cool. Like items and even post-cards! Stuff we can safe to our PC.

They also mentioned something of massive houses that cost "a lot" like over 9,000 a lot.

Anyway its a pretty big feature to add, so while I dont expect the first rendition to be very ground breaking I hope its not something they skimp on.

The house that can cost that much could be Free company building i remember yoshi-p calling it that. Where there a hall with doors and when you enter door it would go to your house. They also be a area for your free company airship so i'm guess this type of thing could be just one instance zone or only hold a few building so you can do more with it.

i hope that idea does get release in ffxiv someday it's would take time but it's worth the time and the wait IMO.

Where did they say free company airship? Not dissing, just really want to see that post lol.

I know airship talk and its likely to come, but the details that I know are minimal.

i was thinking this too... When i see some features of other mmo i say, Wow, maybe XIV will have this one day?
Maybe as you said is better to stay with feet on the ground :P

I remember reading it will not be in at launch. It sounds like the want to make it a quite complex system so I wouldn't be surprised.

I was wandering how many thing we will be able to do with housing.
It has been said that we will be able to make house from the ground, selecting the roof, we can have a personal stable..

But after seeing that trailer my question is: ARR will reach that level of customization?
In the trailer you can see piace by piece creation of a lot of stuffs, like a pool, or even a child park lol..

That are the kind of teaser that i want for ARR... showing new amazing stuffs, short and hyping at the same time... Really i didn't expect from rift being such a good game among the Wow clones.

So what do you think?

I can't see it being that expensive, the XIV housing is probably more fix'd and we just pop stuff in specific locations or have a few choices, especially if it's group instanced based.
(though i hope i'm wrong and we see something at least like SWG had (without the option to spam houses everywhere)but something to that level would be amazing).
But the FFXIV world up till now and from what i see in the 2.0 stuff, is still extremely static and lifeless, so yeah..

Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

and on side not FU OP now i want to sub up and look at that when its out! .
