    spent 16hours doing it yesterday, every 1 or 2 kills people leave and new people need to be replaced. and ...i got no hat while some people join for 1 or 2 runs and get a drop land on them first time. from morning till i was about to pass out i was doing them too>< i don't mind the drop rate but lol, we need dkp for stuff like this and the game ain't build for dkp at the moment.

    number wise i did see about 3-4 tricons and 4-6mage hats fall in those 16hours though. my hope for one got lower and lower every set killed though lol. such a low drop rate and people who get drops have no reason to stay after. makes pugs a pain. i would agree i would rather solo my luck, 16hours of me solo'ing or even a few days of that for all i care at least i know i would for sure get one. the grouping method is way too much luck for a 1% drop rate. i mean people that didn't even know what the hat was b4 joining get there free port into group and lol, bam and then happen to have to go after one more run ...just to not look like a total douche. ..really dunno what SE is thinking. i was someone who collected and was there everyday for my ls to get about 20 joyeuse's back in ffxi days, you get one you stay till everyone gets one. that's how i roll ...these new mmo's are take and run methods/luck methods are bs. gimme back my dkp days lol and again i personally love the drop rate, i hate how anyone can be in front of the line for the drops though. /end rant. i'll take a breather and try again 2morrow ..maybe.

    Welcome to 2.0 we will still have crap drop rates & the game has failed & the development team was to blame.

    Can so see this happening. clearly they need to play the game so they can see how bad & stupid there making things.

    If they didn't play the game none of the patches they released would have done anything to the game. I bet you've unlocked the jobs when they introduced the job system for the game the developers doesn't play >.>.

    Heh They could be playing the game in ultra-god mode where the droops are more than 1%. Then again, they might even have the loot table turned on when they are working on other issues. Hard to say. I would be interested in a Dev explanation on that one.

    Considering their loot table practices on the XI test server (everything drops a crystal rather than true drops initially) they probably only have placeholder items in the loot table but scaled back the drop rates to keep people busy/playing which I think most people shoulda figured out by now xD

    i still hope that crystal towers has lots of kick arse gear with these types of drop rates. 25man events with no lock outs, hopefully it's not even instanced but it probably is. but that is a different topic all together but thought it was fitting as we talking about drop rates. the drop rates are fine. the problem is linkshells not all working together, most runs are pugs that leave every 1 or 2 kills. or just that most are straight out lazy or used to the casual give us everything on a platter gameplay. though the strategy for this fight is kinda anoying. and can't wait for real tactics tied up to things like this, i could imagine a sky like endgame working awesome in this game. wink wink SE devs if you read this stuff lol.

    Good luck on your quest for the hats. I finally got both of mine after doing this every opportunity.

    All I want at this point is to kill them properly, since no group ever wants to do that.

    True. When new items are released they should be mailed to all players since we all pay the same subscription fees. Or place them in our mog houses or on a special retainer so we can pick them up whenever we need to.
