Petition: for Imperial Invasion event

I was thinking that considering that the hat drop is so low, and how killing the magitek+elites (the legit way) requires more than 1 party, and only the claiming one might get a hat drop...

which drop rarely happens, I have been in parties and so far killed 3 sets of elites+magitek, and not even 1 hat dropped...

so my request is, would it be possible to add the hats to the non elite imperials drop table, at a lower rate than the magitek+elites? this way people that cannot find a party to kill the elites+magitek, can still try their luck and kill many imperials to maybe get the hats...

Reason being, this event is a 1 time event, and those hats wont ever drop again after this, we are less than a week away until the backup save, and the servers look more and more "dead" I think people are just waiting on 2.0, or rushing to level up all classes before 2.0. I just know that in Excalibur, there arent a lot of shouts happening to do anything.

and imperial hats farming is at the bottom list of things to do before 2.0, for many people, because they are so hard to get..

As for those who has been lucky and got both hats, or want to be unique in having them, please refrain from replying, if this were some items we could get later on after 2.0, I wouldn't be asking, but sadly it isn't and since I cannot force people to come farm them with me then I am limited to "waiting" for a party, and it is quite frustrating seeing the days go by and not being able to get something I could get by myself if they dropped from the non-elites.

Oh and note that, I do not want the hats for stats and such, it is more just for looks, I like how the tricorne looks, and the colors of it.

Hat drop rate is truly terrible. We spend hours doing it and get 1, MAYBE 2 hats... and then you have to hope it's the hat you want.

If I could still farm them after 2.0, then I wouldn't care, it isn't me being lazy, it is just that it is a one-time event.

It is so bad, that today I got in a party and we went to Broken water, our party was full, and there was 2 people trying to kill/reset the magitek, so we started killing the elite imperials, one of the other people was angry that we were there...the other 2 people, one of them got angry at us for not inviting them... sadly my party was full nothing I could do, someone else came by and started to insult and yell at everyone because they landed the last hit and had claim...

People are upset and frustrated over this event, because they want the hats (stats or fashion reasons) and they just cant get them, or try to get them by themselves.

I think making it easier to obtain is a good idea. There are some people (like myself) that just don't have the time to farm something for hours, and it's not like the normal events where you have to collect so many of something.
Maybe instead of having the regular imperials drop the hats, to make it feel more "event" like, they could drop something that could be turned in for the hat of your choice to an npc?
As I know it's unlikely, especially given how close to shutting things off they are, that we will get a serious change to the event, this may be an easy compromise?

I love this idea, could make one of the foundation day npcs to give a hat after turning in X amount of <currency dropped by the imperials> if you want to make it harder, can even make it a random hat. So people keep trying until they get both, or the one they want.

i moved on to another to cod blk op's and 2 2nd on comes out after shutdown ill play that but i would come bk to try my luck at one of those if they made it so

I've all but given up on this event. I ~really~ want the WHM hat, but with the abysmal drop rates and the fact that it seems to pit players against each other for claim/kill is just irritating beyond belief. I don't want to hate the other players on my server over something this stupid...so I just don't do the event. SE botched this one and unfortunately I don't see them making any kind of adjustment to it in the 3 weeks we have left of the game.

You can kill the elites with less than a party, just have a pld hallowed ground tank everything while your DDs zerg an elite.

The magitek is another story though.
