I do. Not only does it show that the PS3 version is truly being developed, but it shows that they care, etc. You really don't realize how many people do not go around searching for screens online do you? >.> Not trying to sound mean or anything, but I mean...we all just want this game to do well, no? Like I said, I have a LOT of friends who play FFXI and other MMO's over the years and whenever I mention FFXIV it is STILL people saying they are unsure of it, where is the PS3 version, they do not know a majority of the stuff that most folks on here do because SE does not include it in the official website. They updated their official FB page though, so that is a start.
Most people are lazy online...they just want to go to one place for all their info. These people are also very hesitant about even thinking about giving this game a second chance. Why would they go around looking for info on a game they really didn't like and are kind of afraid of because SE's mistake? This is what they are telling me anyway. These are the people SE needs to convince to come back, not the people who are on this forum already, like you and I.
When I was interested in playing Lineage II all my boyfriend had to do was link me to their website and all the info I could have ever wanted was on there. Job info, races, the world map and content that I could expect to find in the game. Plenty of artwork and screenshots..and they had a little section for updates with new info! It is really simple.
I know they will update the site eventually, so I really don't care all that much. Like I keep saying, its not my game, not really my problem. I gave up trying to convince my friends to come play it. Maybe if SE advertises it well enough one day they will /shrugs.
that's cool, but they're just 2 <_< and one just show interface. 2 screens alone worth nothingI do. Earlier that day...
Oh no! don't report me! *cries* After all the crap u post when I make posts, man up. I take back what I said about you having spunk, now ur being a lil bish.Personally I think it looks great, maybe cuz I've been a long time WoW player. But yeah PC does have more potential.
Anyway... why isn't any of this on the official website? Had I been a new player I would be checking the official website for updates and seeing none, would assume the game isn't progressing. I think it looks good but why does everything to do with FF Online games require so much "research" from quests to item lookup, etc... I remember when I played FFXI I needed to print stuff from my computer just to get quests done.
Have you seen the facebook page? ppl are like, "what game is this?" "is this a new FF?" "is this the remake?"It will be eventually. SE (and other companies) often release the information to the press before updating official repositories. This helps generate more buzz since press sites are now releasing new, if not exclusive, information - which means the press is more interested. It also helps the community (although it might not seem like it) by allowing community sites to form and generate their own communities - which helps fill in the gaps left by official sites.
For those only following the official sites, the information will ultimately get there.
When I wanted to figure out if I wanted to play guild wars 2 i went to their official site on a regular basis, same thing with Diablo 3... So now when they go to the official page looking for MORE info.. there is actually LESS. It's been almost 12 hours since those were released on other sites & still nothing new on the official website http://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/.
As 2 of us have mentioned, we've had to "research" just to play the game. And while that's cool, why should you have to alt tab just to figure out what an item that dropped is? You need like 2-3 websites in the background just to play the game, Or print out pages of documents. Why is this necessary..?
Edit: Okay so it turns out this is where all the info is, on the JP side (>_> Translation (JP to English)
...Idk what to say to that just.. blah.
