you do realize you can purchase directly from the search menu without having to hop from retainer to retainer with a star over their head correct? you do not have to run through the wards at all unless you are looking for something like a hq melded piece of gear(and that's being fixed in 2.0)





i'd be glad to be one of the first to filter out a global chat function so i didn't see it. i go to the meeting area when i want to do content. if i'm not there it's because i don't want to be bothered. with linking the 3 cities it won't matter what you have for sell in limsa anymore than what you are selling in uldah since everyone can get the item from your retainer regardless of which city they are in. there is nothing that is required to be tweaked in the system in place now that would be anywhere near as much work as putting in a stupid blind auction house like was in xi. if i want to buy an item just tell me how much you want for the stupid thing..... i don't need to go guessing how much you are selling it for. it's stupid and that part of the past should stay in the past.

You do realize linking just the MW still would make everyone crowd Ul'dah for shouts, which is where u obtain ur pickup grp/fill in members. Filter it if you want, but for ppl who are crafting out of boredom but would love to do a prime battle & someone is busy shouting in Ul'dah for it.. that person is SOL. Sure you could ask ur LS to look for you, but they forget, get busy, and why should someone constantly be on the lookout for you?

Also linking all 3 wards basically gives u a centralized Auction House with an NPC attached to it.. So you've just taken ANOTHER step towards an AH but keeping an antiquated system..

You search like an AH... you purchase from the search like an AH.. but you list items via an NPC that's summoned few feet from the AH.. um... yea... the point is?

I don't hate Auction Houses, I just don't hate the retainers. Instead, I actually kind of like them. I like that fact that you can see them wearing the armor you're about to buy. I like that you can put them up in a little shop of your own if you choose to, and decorate that shop to match the goods you're selling. These features can be improved upon, but that needs to come after usability features. Thankfully, SE is fixing the parts that need to be given priority. Hopefully we'll get some cooler ways to make use of retainers in the future.

That's kinda cool I guess, but with mannequins coming i guess dressing them up won't be as huge.. so u can make a shop for them? Or you mean if u get space behind the table? cuz that spot never seems open..

for 500 gil a day you can rent a stall in the wards you just go up to the stall and go into the menu to summon the retainer also you can customize it too look like the bric a brac and stuff like that even changing the tent colors from like red purple green blue. etc

also with the gear you can equip them to wear it when you click on your retainer you can chose the option for them to wear said gear as long as it's 100% repaired. I have one of my retainers wearing the santa suit that came out first year. forgot to mention that with the gear you have to be selling it too lol.

Wow, so people who worked for 999 million will get dropped to 99 million? Sound fair? You know how long it would take to farm that much money, how much work, time, concentration, focus, and effort? Too much to even fathom.

What's next? Take away my gear, my character, my levels? This is ridiculous. I can see if we all played with the new ps3 players, but we will be with the old players, who have more than enough money with no complaints.

Eventually all the prices will be back to how they were. This is what it is like in EVERY online game.

I have 0 crafts and 0 gathering professions. I literally have no income, I had a nice chunk saved, not spending money until 2.0 came out. I have been saving since day 1 of the announcement. I knew the game would be a waste of time to play. Now look at it? All my dedication, gone...

Square enix, if this happens and you follow through. Ill be very disappointed. I have buying and rebuying remade games from your company for decades and I plan on doing so for decades to come. If I lose all my hard work. I might have to move to mistwalker. Hironobu sakaguchi would never let something like this happen. He knows how a final fantasy game should be made.

If no one can afford things, I guarantee it'll lead to more people buying Gil from online stores.

On AH - I think the market system is becoming very hybrid, but it will be very exciting to hear what Yoshida has planned for the market. As he seems to want to both keep the market, make it prettier, and yet make it more functional. Which seems to be all our desires.

it does have to be an empty stall but there is more than one ward in one city and there's roughly about 6 stalls per ward area. I would set mine up in uldah but now my retainers are in Limsa. A couple of times i got lucky in Uldah and there was a stall opened. I tend to think of those rooms like bazaar rooms
