Pre-ARR Cutscenes and Story?

Ive been skimming over general and reading the letters from the producer with little luck, so I'm trying here.

When ARR launches will there be any way to see the story leading up to the event? Ive had XIV on for months now but due to very limited play time I've only made it to lvl36. Especially now with not many people being around my level and soloing being slow, I don't see being able to make it to 50 AND getting through the story before servers go down.

Is it possible that we could get a summary video or cutscene or something? just some way of seeing the important things that happened leading up to ARR

mrd + leves solo, you'll make it to 50with rested bonus & food exp buff no probz.

I don't think there will be as that would kind of contradict their reasoning of "play now to see the one time storyline!" When you go through the main storyline which you still have enough time to do so you'll get the gist of XIV's main story, you may not get to the Umbral Era stuff unless you can clear your Grand Company quests. ARR's intro will likely just give bits and pieces but you won't get a complete summary.

That is absolutely wonderful. I was going to try something similar, but gave up when I got to over 100 GB of videos very quickly.
