Imperials Up Longer Than Usual?

So I've been on game for about 8hours and the imperials are STILL invading the 4 camps. Does the duration change this drastically every time, or are they up for good? As a 38+ gatherer, they aren't really getting in my way if I use stealth, but I imagine they make leves in these camps difficult.

They are pretty annoying when you are trying to Harvest at Dragonhead. Only because there is just sooooo many of them. Since walking stealthed between points would take forever.

Do the regular Imperials drop those hats? I never have found someone who knew for sure. People keep saying the hard ones around the Magitek and the Magitek itself are the only ones that drop them.

Never seen an exception to this statement. Elites only, including the H-1.

Also, the lore clearly states Imperials ramping up for something, which seems to be literally happening via these events.

I also noticed that they seem to be around a lot longer, and it does make gathering a bit of a pain.

On the flip side:
- It makes the land more dangerous, which is what a portion of the player base has been asking for.
- It gives people with unfinished relic weapons an abundance of targets for spiritbonding (I still want mine! ><)
- It's somewhat fitting for the end of 1.0
