So a 'Casual' could still be better than a 'Hardcore' player? Whaat?

From what I understand, a 'Casual' player was someone who spent low amounts of time playing a game (30 minutes - 2 hours) generally slow progression, not looking to do hard content, etc.

Hardcore players playing generally longer, spend more time trying to complete hard content, etc.

Also, saying that, it doesn't mean that ALL Hardcore players have no life, and it doesn't mean all Casual players don't try hard.

When I used to play WoW, I would always try my hardest to get into raids (although most of the time I didn't)

I really think 'Hardcore' and 'Casual' are extremes. -- Barely anyone I know fit into these stereotypes.

People who want to be 'Casual' need to understand that they most likely won't be able to experience all content, while 'Hardcore' players need to understand that just because they spent more time on a game, doesn't make them a better person, they just get to experience the harder content.

Easy Content = Rewards
Hard content = Better rewards

Easy content should never have the same rewards as Hard content otherwise there is no reason for the hard content.

Someone may play the game longer than you, that doesn't mean they have no life? Maybe they have nothing better to do?
