Guild marks didn't do anything other than unlock class abilities, and all of those abiltiies were removed, thereby negating any need for them. Beyond that, they also showed up randomly as rewards instead of gil, when most people would have rather had gil instead. Thus, guild marks were both pointless and getting in the way.

I've already cut my inventory down from near max to 150 or so. Your equipment, both your main equipment and the equipment in sets will no longer be in your inventory- so that's a significant number of inventory spaces freed. Like me, you very likely have a lot of stuff in your inventory that you really don't immediately need at any given time. You'll be able to pare it down. Beyond that, we'll most likely have bags for additional storage later, and free companies will supposedly have a bank. You'll also have a delivery system and you could send yourself stuff to save space, and you can also have 8 characters on a server if you are a legacy member, so you can also mule a lot of stuff.

Does this mean that NPC Gear Repairs will also be reduced by 1/10?? I sure hope it does!

depends on how much gil you're sitting on. I usually have less than a mil on me, and when you're in that situation60k for repairs is a lot. I use dark matter repairs whenever possible.

Anyway: Yes. All gil prices, all gil income, all gil everything is being adjusted by the same amount. This includes the repair NPC and every other NPC in existence.

not everything is being reduced by the same amount. he actually stated in his clarification that the majority of items will be 10% of its previous cost, but that some items will not be and they will be looking at them on an item by item basis.

    Repairing isn't an item.

Regardless, any changes in NPC prices that break from the 1/10th rule will be for balance reasons. It doesn't mean anything like "Shit was 1k still is 1k."

Most of such items are probably those with a price between 10 and 99 gil where the new price would be a single digit.

The thing i found most hilarious about the gil issue is they are trying to justify removing gil, yet all the key items are being removed and you are being given gil at 1/10 the return, so you paid 400k for ather pass, and now your getting 40k back, so remove some of my gil and give me gil back, freaking counter productive if you ask me. Also if the cap is not being reduced, why even bother changing anything about gil period?

If you already have a chocobo, who the hell cares if the price to rent goes from 800 to 80, that there makes 0 sense. And if you do not purchase items from any NPC, then who really is being effected by the change? New players, not someone that has been and established player for almost 2 years.

This is what I originally thought. Now I see the OP and I think and many of that people I ask think this means that you get your inventory plus your current/active gear set. When you switch gear sets, the gear from the new set comes out of inventory and the gear from the old set goes back.

Since the SE post is not precise about how switching gear sets affects your inventory, can anyone find a comment or dev post that clarifies whether all gear sets are out of inventory or only the active?

One indication that items in gear sets being unequipped go back into main inventory is in the lftp live when Yoshi switches from carpenter to another class. You can see the saw reappear in inventory.

Curious to see what happens when you're on a 12 item gear set for a level 50 class with required levels on your gear, farm until you fill your inventory, and try to change to a level 1 class with a gear set with 5 pieces. 5 come out of inventory, 95 open slots, 12 need to go back to inventory and they can't stay on because you don't meet the item equip requirements. Where do the 7 items go? Do we need to empty 7 inventory slots to get onto the level 1 class?

If all items in gear sets were removed from inventory, this problem wouldn't exist, and we could deck out our classes and swap to full gear as needed.

What I think will happen is that once an item is set into a gear set, it will never go back to your inventory until you remove that item from a gear set. So...

Lvl 50 BLM Gear set has Felt Hat, Lightning Brand, and 10 other items.

Your inventory will now be 88/100.

Lvl 6 GSM Gear set has a hammer and a body piece.

Your inventory will now be 86/100.

Then you can swap back and forth between the two as much as you want and still be at 86/100. Only if you remove the felt hat from the BLM gear set will it add any to your inventory. All gear set items goes into a "hidden" inventory so it does not count against your main inventory.

At least that is the way I saw it to mean.
