Recommended Class to Become Required Class
Recommended class will be changed to required class on existing gear.
The majority of gear affected by this change are dated items, which many players continue to wear for aesthetic reasons, despite incurring performance penalties.

In order to preserve this freedom of choice, we are planning to make these items wearable by more, if not all, classes. However, we are still in the process of determining how to best implement these changes.

Recommended level restrictions will still be present in FFXIV: ARR.

easy just give each piece of visable armor a vanity slot where you can use that graphic.

the power tab is your equipment like it is now
the vanity tab is just to use the graphic from a piece of equipment, the check box is to turn on or off that graphic so you can see you original equip in that slot.

this would actually be less work for them and keeps everyone from having the same stuff stat wise.

Really, I don't really know what they're tyhinking at this point. Unless they're planning to add something like transmog or appearance enchants and just haven't made the announcement.

NO thanks x1000. I'd rather be able to tell what people are wearing by looking at them, and I'd also like to be able to show off my gear without being examined.

I'm happy with their decision, the only thing I don't get is why do it, but since all it does is just change cosmetics of belts onto armor, works out better than throwing in a system where mages run around looking like warriors.

There's a reason they got off the optimal/favors system in favor of required system. Yes people want to look like whatever the hell they want, luckily though there's plenty of MMORPGs out there that does what people want.
