If Spearfising Gone.... Spearfishing Achievements Gone?

Greetings!

Apologies that information on spearfishing achievements was not included previously, as many of you are curious as to what will happen. Since spearfishing is being removed from the game when A Realm Reborn rolls around, it will also no longer be possible to complete spearfishing achievements. We will add this to the list when we release the topics announcement we are currently working on, outlining various aspects of change.

I'm struggling to understand why there are a lot of things in this game that are so secretive? Like this?

What's to say this won't happen again much more in the future? What a severe lack of communication.....I can't believe something like this was NOT mentioned in an official post (without having to trawl, mine, dig and spearfish!) my way to an official response that most likely 90% of players won't have any clue about....but once it gets taken out, watch the backlash. lol

Even if you play casually, you can get all the spearfishing achievements in about a week.
There really is no reason to panic.

gimme a break. What's not good enough about it? What more do you want? They aren't being secretive at all. They've flat out said: Spearfishing will be removed and therefore so will the achievements. What more information do you need? Once the list is updated you'll have the specific achievements, but any logical deduction and common sense will tell you exactly which achievements will disappear without them even needing to tell you.

There has been no lack of communication here. If something like this happens again, you will be told, with the usual delay for translation that always exists whenever new news hits- such delays are unavoidable. They aren't withholding information, they don't have any desire to ruin your quest for achievements, there's no conspiracy, etc.

You realize that the community reps in most cases are likely sleeping / not at work when news hits sometimes? Therefore, there isn't going to be an immediate translation of JP news.

1180 more pokes until Though I empathise with those:

a) not at FSH50 (its my only non DoWM @ 50 TFG)
b) if you play eg 2hrs a day, only to realise due to the lacklustre delivery in this specific update it may not give enough time to get them all/all the biggies/most/some of those achievements
c) who have not started spearfishing at all

WHAT, I can no longer spearfish the dirt!? My fisher was born to catch colored pots and scorpions!!

. . . Seriously, I never got spearfishing.. At least move it to the water near school of fish.

I'm curious whats going to happen to the fishing class though. Got my fisher to 50 recently, thank god for leves. Please dont screw my class over :P lol

On that note, are the quarrying/harvesting achievements going to be removed as well, or just spearfishing?

And what am I going to do with my Militia Gig?

They're only removing spearfishing. they're not removing quarrying or harvesting.

Secondary tools are not being removed, so my only guess is whatever the new activity is, you'll use the same tool, just in a different way (again, just a guess)

"Do the point we got from those achievement will be carried on or not?"

is it's not that's cool
but if its yes like the ones in the list they showed us then that's the problem
i know many who focused on behest and leves after the list released

aiming for both the titles and "points"

All achievs will be carried across, however the 1.0 only achievs will not be a part of the maximum point total for the list as well as they will not show up on your list if you didnt complete them in 1.0 (1.0 only achievs)

So as a fresh 2.0 player you dont have a bunch of impossible to do stuff looking at you in the face lol
