Can you explain why you believe this in terms other than "I don't like it"?

Almost all MMOs have regional servers, including industry heavy hitter WoW, and nobody in those games bat an eyelash. It isn't even a concern. Not even a thought.

They would probably even think we are crazy for debating this topic the way we have been. Much like the jump issue.
