*This Just In* Windows 8 Vs Win 7 Boot time [Amazing]

I just saw a boot time for Win 8 and Win 7. I gotta say 34 seconds for Win 8 to boot and then play a application or game. is Amazing

If you have a low end PCi 2.0, 3.0 GPU Graphics card. There is a confirmed faster FPS limit in your gaming. could it be that windows 8 has what Gamers need!

    Anybody wanna test this theory!

34 sec to boot? I got that on win7 already.... my brother's pc even boots in 21 seconds.
Win8 makes it even faster, tested on mine and got around 24 seconds, so I guess my brother could boot in 11? :P

It only boots so fast if you have nothing installed... once you start loading programs and stuff again, it'll bog down. Hint: the automatic update stuff etc... If it's a dedicated gaming machine then /shrug sure.

no i tested this on Windows 8, because of no start menu the boot time and there is no loading time to wait. Its like they completely forgot that step. I turn on my comp, 5 seconds, 10 seconds windows 8 is ready. Its amazing with Applications.

Lemme get you a update on Windows 8 Enterprise version. Its still in Test mode but this is amazing.

You have 90 days for Evaluation but it works like Win 7 and its a lot faster if you have a minimum of 4 GB of ram. Im still testing Video, though.

Maybe Windows finally got it right this time.

Dunno, my installation is over 2 years old. It's all about how much crap you leave in your autorun and whether you have a HDD or a (decent) SSD.

Besides, on many boards the boot time is being slowed down by retarded initialization process. For example, on a typical unconfigured Asus board, it takes over 20 seconds for it to pass POST, while windows itself boots quite fast. Can't fix that even with a decent SSD...

They certainly got some things right this time, but forcing desktop users to use Metro pretty much ruins it for many, including me.
