i will personally miss the the overall game play that we are experiencing now.. Remember it's gone in 2.0 we are the ones that experienced it, good or bad.

Funny people will always get off-topic and start arguing.
I'm going to miss this world. I've explored every inch of it. I know a lot of people think "it's the trashiest game world I've ever seen" or "it's too copy/paste", but I still love it. I'm also kind of going to miss the current crafting/gathering system. The 2.0 version looks a bit too easy, and I'll miss that joy upon getting the maximum yield of what you're gathering for. It's for the best that they change it, though.
I'm not going to miss the crashes, the lag not showing my spell progress bar (I've cancelled Cura so many times by accident), and, of course, Speed Runs.
Goodbye Mr. Turbo Controller. It was a nice ride but i must get off now, you have done your work. Well done!

I'll miss the open skies above Limsa, my home town. It will take some getting used to, the whole living in the side of a rock idea...
I'll miss the randomness of gathering (just a little). I'm always wondering if my next remainder bar will be tiny or long, showing a gem or more brimstone.
I'll miss the open world without too many load screens.
I'll miss the vast array of classes people want to level up now, as opposed to everyone jumping on ACN/SMN...
I'll miss tracking the growth of the "lesser moon" with each new patch.
I'll miss the little crooks and crannies that I've explored slowly over the last 2 years. There will be new nooks and crannies and I'm sure they'll have a few good ones but they won't quite be exactly the same.
I'll miss the personalities I've witnessed in some of the NPC's that may change or be replaced in 2.0.
I'll look forward to many of the changes coming in 2.0 but 1.xx is a game I've played a lot over these last couple of years and it'll never quite be the same again. Even just so far, this game has had many changes, but it's still kinda been "this game" at it's roots. Will that still hold true in 2.0? We'll have to see but if it's revolutionised as much as I think it's going to have to be then it probably won't really be recognisable as this game anymore...

Some early concept art showed that Limsa will be built into the side of cliffs with an earthen overhang. So far, the only part of Limsa that we've seen will be under open sky is the personal real estate.
Edit:
All the buildings there seem to be under the overhang![]()

Thought the cities were staying mostly unchanged? I think that may just be some sort of pirate port
Retired FFXI character: Ranok of Sylph

No, I believe it is Limsa Lominsa. All of the cities will be changing a little. We've also seen a changed Gridania (and I don't mean the forest of the Shroud, I mean around the aetherite of the city itself). Don't recall if we've seen the new Uldah or not. We have seen the residential district of Uldah on the cliff in the desert with no discernable other buildings or city like structures nearby so it's possible Uldah will be on the cliff as well, I'm really not sure. That picture is of Limsa though, I'm 99.999% sure. I'd say 100% sure but can't be bothered hunting down the original statement at the moment XD

They said for the most part it will remain unchanged, They will be putting multiple pathways to go and out of a city.
However SE is notorious when it comes to hiding stuff. With the disaster that is to hit Eorzea, and when we play again its like the cities were untouched when Ul'dah got Blown up big time... Idn lore wise it make zero sense to blow up a City in CG and then in 2.0 they make it so nothing ever happened to it.
SE is hiding something.. Sneaky SE!
