I want something like this for an endgame area. If this is floating in the sky, it would still be okay.
Quick thought!: Why not put an ocean in the sky?!Best of both worlds

pvp without the pvp, thanks for the offer but ill have to passI seen a lot of posts where people say Sky was great they should bring it back.
But was it really that great or is it just rose tinted nostalgia glasses? Having to compete against the whole server for a bunch of 3-6 hour time spawned trigger nms, Faust, Ullikummi, Motherglobe, Zipacna, Steam Cleaner, come to mind.
So my question would you rather have a zone where you compete against the whole server for a handful of 3-6 hours time pop NMs to get trigger items to fight gods, or would you rather just go in an instance and kill some boss NMs?
or more specifically a type of gameplay SE invented, "BvB" bot vs bot

This was a nice thread until it when to hell from people derailing the subject.
@OP It's up to you to report trolls and post that derails the topic.
In regards to Sky in 2.0: I want it to be there as a staple of Final Fantasy zones. Best place to put a NM called War Machine and Tiamat! ^^

I like how people justify artificial difficulty just because of a few bad examples of games that don't have artificial difficulty. Apparently legitimate difficulty can't be done in an MMO just because TERA and SWTOR are shit games.
Yes to all of the above. With Dalmund FF XIV is already primed to introduce that type of area. Most people who liked sky was referring to:
1. The Scenery.
2. The feeling of accomplishment when you first gained access to it.
3. The music.
4. The story behind it.
Obviously the content itself, but when you think of a FF MMO, you will immediately think of some kind of magical surreal zone like that.
